Dr. Wheeler is the retired, long-time CEO of the American Heart Association. One of the initiatives he launched during his tenure was Go Red for Women to raise awarenessabout heart disease in women and the Alliance for a Healthier Generation (with the William J. Clinton Foundation) to fight childhood obesity. He serves on numerous boards and committees including the Paul G. Rogers Society oFor Global Health Research abd the Advisory Committee the Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Unifoirm Day Keynote Speaker - Jason Scherhterle
Jason was an officer with the Phoenix Police Department. In 2001, his cruiser was rear ended by a taxi cab and burst into flames making national news. Jason received 4th degree burns to his face, arms and upper body. He was in a coma for 2 1/2 months. Jason shares his story because he believes he has been blessed. He is truly an inspirational speaker.
Installation Luncheon Speaker - Bill Crawford
Dr. Crawford is a genuinely funny man in addition to being a psychologist. He has appeared on PBS and has written several books. Some of the titles incled "How to Get Kids to Do What You Want" and "How to Eat Anything You Want and Not Gain Weight". Bill will also be conducting a concurrent session on Uniform Day.
