TRMC Auxiliary member Charlie Smith makes a fulltime career of volunteering
Titus Regional Medical Center Auxiliary volunteer Charlie Smith remembers his first up-close-and-personal visit to TRMC was not as a volunteer, but as a patient, rushed into the emergency room with a massive heart attack in progress. "I thought I was a goner at 41. I spent eight days in the ICU, and I told them if I survived I wanted to do volunteer work."
"When I revived enough and got through cardiac rehab, I started popping popcorn at the hospital, and I did that two days a week for ten years.
